I. National Interests, Principles, Objectives and Policies Discussed

The vital national interest of any nation-state is SURVIVAL. Survival consists of maintaining both national security and well-being. National Security can be defined as the ability to protect important national interests against foreign enemies. Well-being can be defined as maintaining a sufficient domestic solidarity (in terms of political, economic, sociological and psychological power) to sustain “domestic tranquility”.

A. Any nation’s interests, beyond survival itself, are chosen partly in light of the nation’s principles. The nation’s principles also play a key part in the determination of its choice of objectives to support those interests. Further, the nation’s principles influence its choice of what policies and commitments are appropriate to select in pursuit of its national objectives.

B. For example, the principles of Nazi Germany and the Soviet Union differed from those of the U.S. in ways that resulted in their adopting world domination, by military means if necessary, as in their national interest. Their principles also let them adopt objectives such as racial cleansing, and accommodated policies such as killing Jews and Polish noblemen. Their principles led to the formation of a government, the dictator of which had absolute powers.

The principle of atheism, not formally but effectively adopted by Hitler, permitted policies and commitments involving genocide and employing the gas chambers at Auschwitz and elsewhere for mass liquidation of tens of millions of human beings, including millions of their own countrymen.

C. A nation’s national principles are truly the characteristics that are the key to the nation’s behavior: nationally and internationally. In a very real sense, they also determine the ultimate degree of success or failure of a nation.

D. Every powerful nation in history has had founding principles to which they adhered for a substantial number of centuries and prospered under them. But many nations “decayed” and fell, by abandoning their original, relatively valid founding principles that had been chosen with forethought and prudence. Germany and Russia fall into this category, as does Rome; and to a degree France and Spain lost their places respectively as the pre-eminent world power in the same fashion. The rise and fall of nations can be seen to depend on the quality of their national principles, and their perseverance in adhering to them.

E. It may be reasonably concluded that the widespread adoption by governments of the principles of Judeo-Christianity (especially including laws and customs based on the Ten Commandments and on Love Your Neighbor as You Love Yourself), improved upon the general state of barbarity and rule by force existing globally in the time before Christ. Since the coming of Christianity there has been notable improvement in the lot of the average individual human being.

F. Conspicuously, the nations which adopted those Judeo-Christian principles, (and imperfectly but perseveringly maintained them as the basis of their choice of interests, objectives, and commitments) have risen to heights of domestic prosperity and relative global prominence at a rate of speed unchallenged by the many nations which adopted the Moslem, Buddhist, Hindu, Judeo, and other religions, including atheism.

But the central point which is the raison d’être of the AJDF, is that these proven Judeo-Christian principles have generally been effectively DISCARDED among the originally Judeo-Christian nations, now including our own beloved country.

G. The European Union recently decided to omit Christianity as too insignificant to be mentioned in their version of the history of Europe. This evidence of decay in Europe has been gradually proceeding for some time and is reflected in their loss of ranking in power among nations.

H. The United States is on her way to catching up with Europe. Over 90% of our college professors and the vast majority of our opinion-making sector are now teaching our children a revised history of the United States and a morality deeply disobedient to the Ten Commandments—teaching lies as facts. The facts and ideals accurately perceived by Americans for almost two centuries, as derived from our founding fathers in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution with its Bill of Rights, are ignored or depicted in college classrooms as wrong and outmoded.

I. Annually millions of students are becoming citizens with an erroneous and deeply harmful concept of America’s history and with ignorance or disdain for her great and unique founding principles. This false set is being used as the basis of court rulings which cause evil in and of themselves, and permit other sectors of our society to deprave America with disastrous effect, most notably on the institution of the family which is a prerequisite to civilization itself, not to mention nationhood.

J. “Of all the dispositions and habits which lead to political prosperity—religion and morals are indispensable supports”. The greatest man in American history, the Father of Our Country, uttered those words as a truism in our founding times. Now, we find that truth, without any hint of due process, having been rendered cancelled by the courts, and rendered “un-American” by most of our teachers, history books and the whole set of elite opinion-makers of recent decades. Movie and Rock stars have been installed to replace George Washington and Thomas Jefferson as the role models for our youth.

K. There is now a war going on over the Soul of America. The revisionists had an early start and only recently have a large number of “conservatives” or “traditionalists” become outraged enough to join the battle rather than just gripe about it among themselves. The control of our culture and our history books must be taken out of the hands of those who have polluted them.

L. One recent example is the falsification of facts regarding events surrounding the Vietnam War. The false version has undermined national understanding of a key part of our history, not only resulting in a sad depreciation of respect for the heroic service of Veterans of the war, but tragically be-clouding the truth about the disastrous anti-war effort’s effect on Congress, causing that body to take political action to betray the military victory, already resoundingly won. That history must be clarified
